It is officially rainy season in the Philippines. This did not discourage or disappoint these dear ones. They are our 25th Missionary Batch to depart since we arrived nearly 3 years ago. We remember when this group entered the mission. The Elders arrived six months before the Sisters. Many of them were very scared because many of them didn't speak English. They wouldn't even look at us. There were times that we would visit where a few of the sisters would hide so they didn't have to speak to us. 18 and 24 months later, they have soared in their ability and confidence. They have a great depth of understanding of people, companions, the gospel and faith. They now have depth of character, enhanced knowledge, commitment and they are well grounded in their beliefs. Their roots have grown deeply in gospel soil. The three words chosen for this batch are "Depth of Love." It seems appropriate - we deeply admire and love them. Farewell dear returned missionaries. Tandaan mo, mahal kita!
